Our 2025 Programs: What We’re Building

2025 is the year BHASNet moves from vision to action. After months of planning, listening, and building, we’re ready to share the full scope of what we’re creating.

Our Seven Core Programs:

  • Awareness & Education: Workshops, campaigns, and educational content that build understanding of anemia, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, thalassemia, and related health challenges.
  • Support Services: Psychosocial support through peer groups, hospital visitations, a caregiver program, and mentorship — especially for people without family support nearby.
  • Healthcare Engagement: Equipping healthcare professionals with culturally informed knowledge about managing blood-related disorders.
  • Wellness & Pain Management: Holistic wellness programs, including mental health workshops and physical fitness sessions.
  • Advocacy: Promoting access to healthcare, disability incentives, and inclusive health policies.
  • Community Mobilization: Building a robust network of volunteers, partners, and community leaders.
  • Research & Collaboration: Partnering with academic institutions and researchers to advance treatment approaches.

Each of these programs exists because someone told us it was missing. Together, they cover the full arc of living with a blood health disorder — from the first conversation about a diagnosis, to the support systems that carry a family through it, to the policy rooms where long-term change happens.

We’re launching these programs gradually throughout 2025. Follow along as we roll them out.
