As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on the year we’ve had. It was a year of building — not just programs and partnerships, but trust, connection, and community.
What we built:
- A website that actually serves as a hub for the community
- Seven core programs, with three already launched and others in development
- Peer support pairings connecting patients with people who’ve been through it
- A partnership with the Saskatchewan Health Authority
- Our first full World Sickle Cell Day campaign
- A community of over 200 members across Canada
But what we’re proudest of isn’t in that list. It’s the conversations we’ve had — the emails that say “I didn’t know where to turn,” the hospital visits where someone was grateful to have company, the meetings where people told us this network changed how they think about their own health.
2026 will be another year of building. But for now, we’re pausing to be grateful for everyone who has shown up for this network. Because a network is only as strong as the people who make it real.
