BHASNet Community Grows: Over 200 Members Across Canada
A thriving community united by a shared mission.
BHASNet is proud to announce that our community has grown to over 200 members across Canada. In just under a year since our launch, we’ve built a network of patients, caregivers, volunteers, and advocates who are committed to improving blood health awareness and support.
“Reaching 200 members is a significant milestone,” said Immanuela Ezugba, Chairperson of BHASNet. “It shows that there is a real need for the kind of support and community we’re building. It also shows that people are ready to step up and be part of the solution.”
Members come from across Canada, with the largest concentrations in Saskatchewan, Ontario, and British Columbia. They represent a diverse range of experiences, including patients with sickle cell disease, thalassemia, hemophilia, and other blood disorders, as well as caregivers, family members, and healthcare professionals.
“Every member brings something unique to the table,” added Ezugba. “Whether it’s sharing their lived experience, offering a listening ear, or helping with our programs, everyone has something to contribute. That’s what makes this network so powerful.”
BHASNet is continuing to grow its membership and is actively seeking new members to join the network. Membership is free and open to anyone who shares our mission.
