BHASNet Officially Launches as a Registered Charitable Non-Profit

A new chapter begins for the Blood Health Awareness and Support Network.

We are proud to announce that the Blood Health Awareness and Support Network (BHASNet) is now officially registered as a charitable non-profit organization in Saskatchewan.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide advocacy, education, and support services for individuals living with blood health disorders and other health-related conditions, with a focus on the Black community and marginalized populations across Canada.

“This registration is more than a piece of paper,” said Immanuela Ezugba, Chairperson of BHASNet. “It’s a formal recognition of the work we’ve been doing and the commitment we’ve made to the community. It means we can now access funding, build partnerships, and scale our programs in ways that weren’t possible before.”

The registration process was supported by a dedicated team of volunteers and advisors who believed in the vision from the beginning. Their contributions have been invaluable in getting BHASNet to this point.

As a registered non-profit, BHASNet is now able to issue charitable tax receipts for donations. This makes it easier for individuals and organizations to support our work.

“This is just the beginning,” added Ezugba. “We have big plans for the coming year, and we’re excited to share them with the community.”
